It was Tuesday April 17, 2012. A beautiful day in Virginia.
I was heading back from an early morning meeting in Washington DC.
As I reached towards my exit on Rt 28, I saw in the distance the Shuttle flying over the Smithsonian Udvar Hazy Center.
I quickly pulled over to thee side of the road to admire this beauty.
Luckily for me, I had at that time in my car my Canon 7D and my 70-300 lens.
I quickly took these beautiful pictures in case a State Trooper pulled up behind me for stopping on the free way.
Low and behold, by the time I finished clicking my pictures, a trooper did pull up behind me.
Luckily, Officer CJ Smith was a good man and was more interested in seeing my pictures of the Shuttle and let me go.
But the real treat was when I came home and saw the pictures on my monitor.
Only then did I realize that in one picture, I had clicked the Shuttle, the Jumbo and the Chase Plane.
Today even 8 years later, that memory is as fresh as ever.
