About Me
Just some fun facts about me and my story.
My Little Story
I am a photographer based in Washington DC. I love to travel and have captured many delightful memories of street, night, animal and others through my journeys. Started my foray into photography using a Canon AE-1 and then followed by a Canon Elan 7 (EOS 30). Those were the bulky days where one had to carry many rolls of film and take multiple exposure and then wait a few days to get them developed to see what actually develops. There was no Photoshop or Lightroom to do touch up. It was just you and your camera and your surroundings.
However, about 10 years ago, I somehow stopped photography and focused on my day job. I took pictures here and there with my phone or some run off the mill point and shoot camera. Little did I realize that the thirst for photography kept growing and about 3 years ago, I jumped back into it. I traded platforms and got into the Sony Mirrorless system and I am never going back to Canon again. The image quality and futures of the Sony A7 III just blew me away. I also started to learn new tools light Lightroom and Luminar and lo and behold, the images began to pop.
So instead of talking more about me, I have decided to showcase my photography journey through the quotes of 5 of the some of the best photographers that I admire:
I fell in love with taking pictures, with wandering around finding things. To me, it feels like a kind of performance. The picture is a document of that performance. – Alec Soth
I guess I’ve shot about 40,000 negatives and of these, I have about 800 pictures I like. – Harry Callahan
For me, photography has become a way of attempting to make sense of the strange world that I see around me. I don’t ever expect to achieve that understanding, but the fact that I am trying comforts me. – Mikhael Subotzky
I only know how to approach a place by walking. For what does a street photographer do but walk and watch and wait and talk, and then watch and wait some more, trying to remain confident that the unexpected, the unknown, or the secret heat of the known awaits just around the corner. – Alex Webb
The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do. – Andy Warhol
I will end my story by just something I learned the hard way in life and that is never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
